Many of us start our day, early in the morning, with hot cup of matcha or coffee. That comforting feeling and the boost of energy is enough to make us feel ready to take on the day.
However science tells us that we are doing it all wrong! Here are a few tips on when and how to consume caffeine:
1. Don’t consume caffeine too late in the day
Caffeine has a half-life of 5 to 6 hours so if you consume it later in the day it will last until late at night and keep you from sleeping on time

2.Don’t consume caffeine too early in the morning
When we wake up our adenosine levels are low and start to drop further but when we consume caffeine it accelerates the process and as a result we have more adenosine when the caffeine wears off making us feel more sleepy.
The solution is to have caffeine 1 and half or 2 hours after you wake up

3. Choose a healthy option for your caffeine boost such as matcha.
It contains L-Theanine that can make you feel calm and yet alert enough to go about your daily routine without feeling tired.
